Jennifer is a Washington native who has been practicing yoga since 2003, and teaching mind and body connections to movement since 2015 in classes and workshops around the King and Pierce County area.
In 2023, Jennifer is Pilates Reformer trained and teaches the Pilates reformer group classes at Longevita. Also in 2023, she is a trained Longevita NeuroFIT coach. She coaches the Longevita NeuroFIT classes designed by the Longevita NeuroFIT Program Director. The NeuroFIT program is designed specifically for people that have been diagnosed with a neurological condition, such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and more.
What to expect in class:
Jennifer is very open to many styles of teaching and combining multiple styles to provide a great experience each time. Her style is more towards a slower paced flow that gives members the opportunity to connect with their mind and body throughout their practice. She is caring and playful and works to create a safe, gentle and supportive environment.
Get to know Jennifer:
Jennifer’s path to becoming a hot yoga teacher began with a setback—a back injury that prevented her from affording physical therapy. In search of a way to alleviate her pain and improve her mobility, she returned to hot yoga, a practice she had previously enjoyed. Little did she know that this return would mark the start of a transformative journey.
As Jennifer dedicated herself to hot yoga during her time of healing, she found solace and relief from her back pain. The practice not only helped to alleviate her physical discomfort but also provided a sense of mental and emotional well-being. Jennifer became increasingly captivated by the power of hot yoga and its potential to support overall healing and growth.
Inspired by the positive impact hot yoga had on her own life, Jennifer decided to take the next step and become a teacher. Her intention was to share the benefits she had experienced with others, just as she had once been helped. With a deep empathy for those seeking relief and healing, Jennifer embarked on a journey to become a hot yoga instructor.
As Jennifer immersed herself in the training and study of hot yoga, she gained a comprehensive understanding of the practice’s techniques, philosophies, and principles. She honed her skills not only in performing the yoga postures but also in guiding others through the practice, providing them with the tools to heal, strengthen, and find balance.
Becoming a hot yoga teacher allowed Jennifer to merge her passion for the practice with her desire to support others on their healing journeys. She found immense fulfillment in witnessing the transformation and progress of her students, as they, too, discovered the benefits of hot yoga.
By sharing her personal experiences and knowledge, Jennifer not only offered physical relief to her students but also provided them with a safe and nurturing environment to explore their own healing paths. As a teacher, she became a beacon of support, understanding, and inspiration for those in her classes.
Jennifer’s decision to become a hot yoga teacher was driven by her own healing journey and the desire to pay forward the positive impact she had received. Through teaching, she found a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment, knowing that she was helping others find their own paths to wellness and self-discovery.
