Join Kesha for this introduction to inversions workshop and celebrate Cinco de Mayo upside down! Whether headstand or handstand are already part of your yoga practice, or perhaps something you may be looking forward to adding to your regular yoga practice, spend focused time learning or refining alignment and building strength to go upside down safely.
Practice will begin with pranayama (breathing) and vinyasa flow (postures). The body of this beginners workshop will focus on safety, fundamentals, and alignment in chataranga (low plank), bakasana (crow), prasva bakasana (side crow), adho mukah vrksasana (handstand), and sirsasana (headstand). The practice will wind down with a short yin-style sequence and savasana.
This workshop is not suitable for those with active or chronic neck, spine or shoulder injuries.
