This workshop will provide some techniques that will help build momentum in your journaling practice that could really change your life for the better. Journaling generates clarity and congruence. Making journaling one of your keystone habits has so much power! Journaling creates extreme self-awareness, which just might be the tool to making those elusive resolutions achievable!

What is a vision board? A vision board is a powerful tool that you can use as inspiration, motivation, and guidance for your journey toward your ideal life. It’s a collage of pictures, words and quotes that serve to remind you of your passion and purpose.

How does it work? When you focus your attention on the images and words in your vision board the energy of that thing will become stronger in your awareness. The more you surround yourself with what you want to experience, the more you’ll actually get to experience them.

Craft supplies, magazines, and boards will be provided, feel free to bring any additional materials or personal photos you please.

Flow 101 Workshop: Fundamentals of Flow Tutorial

NEW DATE! Saturday, February 23rd, 12-2 p.m.

Join Margo and Kesha for a break down of the most common elements found in flow-style classes. This workshop is intended for new and experienced yogis alike who would like to pause the flow pace for a chance to check alignment, breathing, and transitions along the way. It is your opportunity to really delve into Ujayii breathing, “your vinyasa”, and which variation of the sun salutation postures is best for you. Leave feeling a little more empowered to let your flow best suite YOU in your next (or first) Flow Class with us.

This workshop will include:

  • shoulder, core, and leg strengthening for common flow class transitions like Low Plank into Upward Facing Dog into Downward Facing Dog,
  • more shoulder, core, and leg strengthening for adding new transitions to your flow practices like floating from Crow Pose into Low Plank, or pressing from Downward Facing Dog into Handstand into Standing Forward Fold,
  • and plenty of opportunities to explore lots of options in between to find the “just right” vinyasa for you!

This class provides you with the solid foundation and skills you need to develop effective and motivating group and personal training programs. At the end of the course you are qualified to design and teach essential and intermediate level matwork classes, integrating small equipment to add variety and to meet the specific needs of your clients. In addition to the general course objectives you learn:

  • Workout composition for personal and group training
  • Essential, intermediate and power workouts
  • Use of the Flex-Band, Fitness Circle and Arc Barrel to enhance, support and intensify strength and flexibility exercises.

Prerequisites: working knowledge of functional anatomy, prior Pilates experience and three-plus years teaching movement or fitness

Course Duration: 40 hours instruction and supervised teaching, plus minimum. 10 hours observation, 30 hours physical review, 15 hours practice teaching.

Conducted over four weekends.
