The Pilates method we instruct at Longevita Pilates & Yoga Studio, LLC is STOTT PILATES® which is a well known, safe and highly respected form of Pilates that was designed to specifically restore the natural curvature of the spine, whilst also re-balancing the muscles around the joints. Through the use of various equipment and floor exercises, STOTT PILATES® develops core strength and flexibility while promoting muscle balance and posture, creating a body that not only looks better, but feels and functions better. STOTT PILATES® is built upon five basic principles that place great emphasis on body position and awareness, particularly through the spine and core muscles.

Longevita Pilates & Yoga Studio, LLC offers individual private sessions. Privates sessions are the most effective way to focus on your own unique needs. Private sessions are hand tailored and personalized to fit your specific needs. To begin your Pilates experience at Longevita, you will be taught the basic principles of STOTT PILATES along with specific exercises, the instructor will perform a posture analysis and will go over any health issues and pre or existing injuries, as well as discuss your goals. The certified instructor will take you through a workout utilizing all the spring loaded Pilates equipment, such as, the Reformer, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, and Cadillac. The personal attention allows you the best opportunity to maximize the benefits by improving strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and core strength. Through careful one-on-one instruction, you will learn the the best exercises for you, the principles of Pilates, equipment setup, and any modifications of exercises that is right for your body to meet your personal fitness goals.

Private sessions allow the instructor to develop a customized system of exercises to address each new client’s needs, goals, and previous injuries. More advanced clients benefit from private instruction to improve precision, add new exercises to their Pilates workout, work on specific issues or on rehabilitation from injury.

If you are new to Pilates or are just starting an exercise routine, we highly recommend scheduling a few or more individual private Pilates sessions. This will be extremely beneficial for you so that you can learn the detailed and specific movements and exercises for your unique health and physical requirement. Taking a few private sessions is especially beneficial before joining a group class.

Pilates is designed to help you in all areas of your life. There are over 500 Pilates exercises. Gaining the knowledge and experience of performing these exercises correctly, and determining which ones are right for you at each stage of your progress, we believe it is best to work privately with a certified Pilates instructor.

We suggest a frequency of 2-3 times each week for visible and lasting results. Scheduling your appointment is simple and convenient as it is based on your availability and the instructors.

Longevita offers Semi-Private Pilates that accommodates two to three clients. Workout simultaneously under the instruction of a Pilates teacher on the Pilates equipment. Semi-privates are a great way to lower the cost of Pilates and motivate you and your partner to continue your movement practice. The sessions are fun and motivating. Just like in private Pilates session, you will be taught the basic principles of STOTT PILATES along with specific exercises, the instructor will perform a posture analysis and will go over any health issues and pre or existing injuries, as well as discuss your goals. We suggest a frequency of 2-3 times each week for visible and lasting results. All sessions will be designed and implemented to that specific participating clientele, all levels welcome.
